Daddy!

So my daughter never really sees her biological father She knows who she is but she doesn't really ask about him or for him really. It's basically if she sees him or a pic of him she will tell me that's Daddy Adam. Well she spent the weekend with my Aunt (woohoo first weekend off him many months!) and I called her this morning to tell her goodmorning and all. Well the first thing out of her mouth was "Where's Daddy?"
so of course I reply with "which Daddy honey?" (because she has biological Daddy Adam and my fiance Daddy Chris)
so she says "Where's Daddy Chris?"
and we go into the whole thing about Daddy Chris being at work, and he'll be home before Santa comes but he loves her and misses her.
and I just about cried when she said "I miss Daddy, he needs to come home and read to me and Toby" Toby is the dog that he got her in Scotland on his way home for R&R that she sleeps with every night.
I just couldn't believe it! I mean he treats her like a little princess, but she's only two and he hasn't been around her really alot, but I guess it made a big impact. He talks to her every time he calls and he is constantly sending her stuffed animals and stuff. He calls her his "Ladybug." So if I ever attempt to call her that I get told "No I'm Daddy's Ladybug!"
I was always afraid that when her biological father didn't come around she would feel like she didn't have a Daddy, but I guess she proved me wrong!
